Relationships

While the relationship we have with our romantic partner often takes centre stage, those with our family members and friends are also important to living well.   The way we interact with our children, parents, siblings, co-workers and friends influences our inner well being.

Stress/Trauma

Modern life is busy and we often seem time poor.  Responsibilites and other demands in life can lead to feeling stressed, powerless, overwhelmed and irritable.  Managing our stress better makes life calmer and happier for ourselves and others.  Understanding the stress response and our own patterns of reacting to stress situations can allow us to make adaptive changes.

Trauma takes away our sense of self and leaves us feeling overwhelmed and over-reacting to all sorts of things.   Our perspective disappears and we no longer trust ourselves.  Discover ways to calm yourself and teach your nervous system to behave well again!

Depression/Anxiety

By developing an awareness of neuroscience, individuals can work with their brain's innate processes to achieve healthier, more positive outcomes.  Learn how the brain and body become bogged down in negative moods and how thinking can be compromised by unhelpful lifestyle habits.  Develop an holistic approach to understanding and alleviating these disorders.

Healthy Ageing

Forgetful? Brainfog? Lack of energy? Irritable? Empty?

There's an art to ageing well and avoiding old age complaints.  Develop an understanding of the ageing process and what constitutes a healthy lifestyle - keep yourself young at heart.   Improve your quality of life and avoid becoming old, irritable and a pain in the neck.   Remain happy strong and healthy!

Emotion Regulation

Feelings of inferiority, anger, confusion, anxiety, guilt and shame, plus impulsive, passive or aggressive behaviour can deprive us of happiness and create relationship and other issues for us. Understand why these emotions and behaviours occur and develop skills that derail the emotional roller coaster.  Enjoy more peace and contentment in everyday life, and deal with issues more efficiently and effectively.

Grief and loss

As we journey through life we're bound to be confronted with loss and grief at some stage.  Sometimes we can move on from this without help, sometimes not.  If your life has taken a turn for the worse and continues to stay that way you may need to ask for help.
